Our Story
Our Beginning
Fivewell Africa began as a shared journey long before it became a consulting firm. It brings together specialists in Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Science, Agribusiness Economics, Agronomy, and Agricultural Extension, each with hands-on experience working across government, NGOs, INGOs, and the private sector.
Our work in agriculture, environment, and food systems strengthened our understanding of the continent’s diverse contexts and the practical solutions needed to drive lasting change. In seeking to deepen this knowledge and expand our frontiers, our journeys converged in Israel where we went for advanced agricultural training.
Inspiration in Israel
In Israel we worked alongside leading experts in the Arava Valley and witnessed firsthand how determination, innovation, efficient farming systems, such as the Kibbutz and Moshav models, could turn desert sands into fields that feed the world.
With its challenging climate and limited water resources, Israel provided the perfect context for learning about climate change adaptation, resilient agricultural systems, and advanced technologies, inspiring us to bring similar approaches home and adapt them to African realities for resilient, productive, and future-ready farming systems.
The Birth of Fivewell
United by this vision, we came together to bring that spirit of innovation back home to fill existing gaps between innovation and implementation, between policy and practice, and between local challenges and global expertise.
We believed that if the desert could bloom, then Africa's challenges too could be met with solutions rooted in knowledge, technology and collaboration. Then, we became Fivewell.
